Vicki Rivard is a Registered Acupuncturist and teacher of Chinese Medicine. She has an Advanced Diploma in Traditional Chinese Medicine from the Institute of Traditional Medicine (Toronto) and has completed the AcuDetox training program offered by The National Acupuncture Detoxification Association (NADA). She also holds a Diploma in Natural Nutrition from the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition and a Bachelor’s Degree (Honours) from Queen’s University.
Vicki is in continual Mentorship with the great Lorie Dechar (author of the seminal book, Five Spirits) and is in the process of becoming certified in the art of Alchemical Acupuncture. She is also currently completing a two-year diploma program in Clinical Aromatherapy.
Her practice is rooted in the Taoist origins and classical texts of Chinese Medicine. She works closely with the Five Elements and deeply respects the wisdom and guidance they provide.
Vicki’s area of focus is psycho-spiritual wellness and trauma healing.
She also has advanced training and experience in birthwork (fertility, pregnancy and postpartum care) and is the author of the indie bestseller, brave new mama.
In addition to this, Vicki is a Death Doula certified in Contemplative End-of-Life Care. Her grief and bereavement treatments aim to soften (not erase) the sharp, jagged edges of the shattered heart.
Vicki’s intention is always to meet people where they are and to use points, plants, and compassionate presence to help turn their lead into gold.
